Saturna Capital is led by Nicholas Kaiser, who since 1984 has managed two highly rated socially resposible funds that are compatible with Islamic Law. Devout Muslims follow strict rules about money, including a prohibition against interest earned with businesses that don’t line up with their religious convictions; Mark Schwanhausser talked with Kaiser about this delicate balance of principles and profit recently.
